and the good news is...

Well, Sara actually has some good news. And some bad news, but who cares about that?

1. I got my computer!! And last night my friend Brant set up wireless for me so I could even use it in my room, even though they said it would only work in the lobby! Unfortunately it wouldn't work this morning. And poor Brant has already been over here twice to mess around with it because it is too confusing for my not-quite-blonde head. The way mine is set up is different from the instructions so he had to adapt it all or something like that. I don't know. All I know is that when he's here and he plays with it for a few minutes, it works. And when he goes home and I try it, it doesn't. But we'll get it figured out.

2. I don't think I'm going to get a C on this project!! We had four drawings due--A, B, C, and D-- and we divided into four groups and each group got all of one of the drawings (like, my group got everybody's B drawings). And then each group had to pick the best one of each set and two of mine got picked! The teacher said that her opinion and the students' opinions are often pretty different, but it was encouraging anyway.

3. Another type of drawing I did for another class is now hanging in the hallway! This is my second hallway picture! (Having stuff in the hallway at least once was a goal of mine at the beginning of this semester. Now I just have to get it up for the other class). That was also encouraging :-). I was kind of stressed last week, and this week may very well be even tougher, but at least I am happier.

The bad news is that dumb blondie here locked herself out of her room. I went downstairs to do laundry, closed my door, and left my keys in there. Oh well, at least I have homework with me and a blog to update, and my roomie should be back before my next class, so I'll be OK. And if she isn't...well, it's only French, I can share a book with someone, and I don't think there was any homework due. And if there was, well, ya know what, I didn't do it.

OK, now I shall try to do something productive. Such as homework. And laundry. Woohoo my afternoon is off with a BANG!

coffee is yummy

I can't believe it's been almost a week since I updated. Time flies. This has been a busy week...a bit stressful. OK, more than a bit stressful. But I decided around Thursday (why did I wait that long??) to not worry about all the stuff I had to do. God knows how much I can handle and He is not going to load so much on me that I break. Late one night when I was all alone in the studio I felt like God was telling me that I am where I am supposed to be. That was amazing!! So, if I flunk out of Interior Design, at least I know God had me try it for a reason. The reason being...who knows?

Yesterday was my have-fun night. Today is my get-all-my-homework-done (and update my blog when I get tired of staring at black and white abstract art) day. Truthfully the day got started pretty late because I was out til....well....the wee hours of the morning, let's put it that way. But I spent about five hours this afternoon finishing projects and stuff and I feel pretty good about that. I just bought internet for my laptop (which Jacob brought up to me last night, yippee!!). It won't work until Tuesday so I'm in the computer lab right now, but that's OK...although I really can't wait til I have it!!

Well, perhaps I should get to work now. It's only 8.30 but if I hurry and get everything done I can go to this luau the boys' dorm is putting on until midnight.

Thanks to all of you who read my blog!! And "good job" to the four (out of *five*...ahem) who did the "5 things" survey!!

Congratulations to Amber, Jeremiah, Jessica and Josh! Kara, I know you meant well...perhaps I will give another quiz someday that you will get better than 50% on! (Don't you hate when quizes have like three questions and you miss one?) Good job on the bonus questions, guys! Jeremiah, I'm trying to take your advice...and Jessica, I wish I could take yours, but then all my tests would be blank and I would flunk. :-)

easy quiz!!

Hey!
I have an easy quiz for you. Post your answers in your comment. Correct answers will be rewarded in my next post ("these people rock" or something like that.)

1. What is Sara supposed to be doing right now?
a. updating her blog
b. talking on her adorable cell phone
c. folding her laundry
d. doing homework

2. What is Sara doing right now?
a. studying studiously
b. playing on the Internet and telling herself she can do homework tomorrow
c. giving her friends unheeded yet hilarious advice
d. sleeping, of course. It's ten thirty pm!!

There that wasn't too bad now, was it? Hopefully you will all pass. I should give out quizzes more often. I can see why my teacher gets that gleeful look on his face when he starts passing them out.

Bonus question:
Why is life so confusing, and how do you make it not confusing?

If you can answer that you will get a lot more than a mention in my next post!! Well, cheerio, adios, bonjour, hej da, see ya later! She was a girl, he was a boy, she said see ya later boy...one of my dorm-mates was playing that and I haven't heard it for ages so now it's stuck in my head!! Can I make it any more obvious?

an updation on what's going on with sara

Labor Day weekend was fun... Allen and Zach took me to Indy and I went to Symphony on the Prairie with them and Bekah and Amber and Jacob. Some guy got mad at us for talking through the whole thing (we were having an important discussion about whether the lady singing was fat or if her dress made her look fat) and told us he would go get an usher if we wouldn't shut up. The usher was Zachary. I wonder what would have happened if we hadn't been quieter. Well, then there was intermission and we moved so we could see the fireworks better so we didn't have to worry about that guy any more.

Then I spent the night at Bekah's, and we went to church Sunday morning. That afternoon we went to my house because I had to feed my kitties and get some stuff and Laura came with us and Jacob came over to hang out. We ate up the quiche (thanks Mom!) and then Jacob drove us to Southside. After church Patrick Blue took me back to Purdue because Allen decided last minute he wasn't gonna go back that night...and then he kept trying to get me out of there and telling me to quit talking to people and leave when obviously Patrick was not ready to go yet himself. Heh he just wanted to get rid of me.

So that was my weekend! Monday I tried to get schoolwork done but I ended up hanging out with my friends Abbi, Liz and Brant and some of Brant's friends who's names I don't remember. They were camping out for football tickets.

Now I am getting ready to go to a horseback riding club meeting...my trial ride didn't go so well. I mean I didn't fall off or anything but I haven't ridden in a while and I was sooo nervous. Oh well! I get one lesson a week now so I can get back in the habit.

I have two projects that need to be done by Friday...oh that's tomorrow...eek! OK, y'all, prayer project if you read this before 7.30 tomorrow! I have the strangest feeling I may be up late tonight...

comme ci comme ca

I might be going to Bekah's this weekend which would be incredibly fun!

I have two projects due when classes start up again which is not incredibly fun...it's kind of fun but there's a lot of time and work involved. Thus meaning I can't just hang out all weekend despite it being a holiday and all.

On Tuesday I get to ride (a horse I mean)!!! Tres bien!! I just got out of French class. Hey, I just realized he forgot to return our quizzes from last time. He told us that only *two* people passed the quiz but then he forgot to give them back. Well, at five thirty there was a huge rush for the door, being Friday night plus Friday night on Labor Day weekend, so not getting our quizzes back is probably our own fault. I still wonder if I am one of the two though...

Well I better go eat dinner so I can go to the Navigators rally tonight. Then after that I am heading to the studio...sigh. But it will be worth it, right?
