weddings

I love weddings! Even ones that aren't for people I know, like the one I went to tonight. My sister and I were servers at a wedding at the Rivi. It was so cool, because usually I serve for brunch and stuff, which can be fun, but no where near as fun as this. The bridesmaids dresses were really pretty, and the Rivi was all fancy and there was a disco ball and cloth napkins and pink sorbet for dessert... I want a wedding! I just don't really want to get married, at least not for a while. It's so funny at the preschool where I work because all of the kids think I am soooo old so they always ask me if I'm married. Then they ask me why I'm not married, or when I'm going to get married, or who I'm going to marry...etc. I used to tell them the truth but now I make stuff up (like, I'm getting married to handsome prince on a pure black horse when I'm 26, that kind of thing.) Is it bad to lie or make up stuff or whatever you call it to little kids? I think this kind of stuff is OK, because they are so definitely not even going to remember it. And if they do, they'll figure out by the time they're seven or so that I was just kidding.

Anyway, the thing at the Rivi was fun. And when most of the guests were gone, and the bride was just putting on her gorgeous white cape and getting ready to go, Jessica and I went out on the dance floor and had some fun. The DJ was really nice--even though it was obviously time to go he just let the music keep playing so we could be crazy. The wedding planner's little daughter was laughing at us so I know we must have looked pretty funny. Finally the DJ was like, well I really have to go now, so we quit.
